We would like to capture your Souls with our music.... your Cremated Souls. Before going further though, we would like to comment on our own special situation. Read on :
Here, in India, the underground Metal scene is really bad. There is no form
of encouragement, no support, no one to back us. Our country has a lot of talented
bands ready to make it to the International level, full of musicians who play
western music - especially Metal - but who aren't appreciated and more often
fall sideways, demoralized. Yet we would like to make a generous contribution
to "MUSIC", that we have derived so much from.
That's why we feel there is more encouragement lying in the Western Countries,
over where there are people who can appreciate good music. We are just through
with our recording and we have just come out with our demo called "SOLE
DIMENSION", and are looking out for labels who would be interested in us.
Biography
"Cremated Souls" is a five piece band from Bangalore, India. We came together in December 2001. We were all like-minded, aiming to compose good music, with a blend of Brutality and a pinch of Melody, yet to sound completely different from others.
"SOLE DIMENSION", the first demo brought about by "CREMATED
SOULS", after performing several live shows in the unexplored metal scene
in India. We introduced a new genre, by adding a touch of melody into speedy
riffs iced with haunting leads, blast beats and a taste of few Indian scales.
With Pradyum on lead guitars, Ganesh on rhythm guitars, Canute on bass guitars,
Mahran on drums and Charles on vocals, we are focused towards contributing quality
music to the ever expectant crowd. All of us being self learnt musicians, have
derived a lot of inspiration from the veteran bands, and thus have also added
two covers along with a few of our own compositions to the demo, as a tribute
to those who have influenced us.
Expanding on our creative ideas and lyrical boundaries here is a gist of the connotations with respect to our songs.
"PERCIEVING RESSURECTION" -- A comment on blind beliefs and faith prevalent in society, as well as the inability of religion and rituals to provide a sufficient answer of solace.
"SHATTERED SHIELD" -- Our expose on the failure, corruption and downright redundancy of the law makers, enforcers and government in general.
"REMOVAL OF THE FOETUS" -- A song about the inhumanity, barbarism and intolerance that holds sway in so called civilised contemporary society.
Lineup
Charles Firemen Rozario : All vocals
Pradyumna Mohan : Guitars
Ganesh : Guitars
Canute Roy D'Souza : Bass
Mahran.S.Ali : Drums

Review
Though an all pervading atmosphere of chaos and trepidation, the sepulchral
tones almost dirge like, yet brutal rip through your senses. You've just been
assailed, decimated even by barbaric death metal courtesy "CREMATED SOULS",
from India. Rising like a Phoenix from the ashes of an unrecognised, untapped
metal scene in India.
"Cremated Souls" have evolved a thanatotic amalgam of death metal
and melodic Indian scales.Influenced by bands like Slayer, Death, Deicide, Hypocrisy,
Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, etc......... this five member band have been active
in the underground metal scene, playing numerous professional live shows and
competitions to brutal effect. Their songs conjure images that are dark and
hellish, coupled with lyrics that address political fallout, breakdown of law
and order, anarchy and death, relying on sheer aggression in music blast beats
and bone jarring riffs a defining factor that makes the music stand apart is
the incorporation of melody veering towards eastern scales.
